Spoonful, owned by Nosh, is a meal service provider that delivers meals to signed corporate clients in Hong Kong. They wanted to build an app that allows their customers to plan and order their meals for the week.
The project aims to streamline Spoonful's order process by integrating with Nosh, simplifying and creating a user-friendly meal ordering processes for corporate clients, while allowing customers to customise their weekly meal plans with ease and flexibility.
My role was to gather requirements with my PM and stakeholders, facilitate co-creation workshops, designing, prototyping, and design hand-off to engineers, as well as creating the design system.
When developing design systems, my approach involves leveraging existing resources. While I typically lean towards Material Design, I found that to be overly complex for this project. Which is why I based our design system off of Uber's Base design system. I found Uber Base's simplicity and scalability particularly suitable, with modular UI components that align well with the project's needs. By incorporating design tokens, I ensured scalability and consistency throughout the design system.
